Biography: 

Dr. Nouf AlMousa was a postdoctoral Ibn Khaldun Fellow at the Mesoscale Nuclear Materials Lab with the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on the nuclear materials for the next generation fission reactors. Before joining MIT, she received a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University where she studied nuclear materials for fusion reactors. With almost a decade of graduate and postdoctoral studies in the nuclear field, Nouf has long been passionate about the nuclear solution to the world's challenges.

During her time at MIT Dr. AlMousa has taken on several leadership roles. She is a member of the Committee on Radiation Protection and the Safe and Sustainable Labs Task Force. Dr. AlMousa also has strong enthusiasm for empowering her fellow postdocs. She has served on the executive committee of the MIT Postdoctoral Association as both Recording Secretary and Vice President.
