Data explosion coincides the extensive digital employment in multiple domains like telecommunication, government, commerce, economy and health. Extracting value out of the large-scale data lead to a better understanding and enhances decision making enabling for more tailored services.
One of the interesting domains to analyze and harness value from, is Riyadh Urban Data. Riyadh is the capital of Saudi Arabia and it is going through major changes in public transportation to meet the demands of the rapidly growing inhabitants. Visualizing this data is vital in planning a sustainable transportation system that utilizes current flows and demographics.
Dr. Sarah works in the ALFA group in the CSAIL lab, with Professor Una-May O'Reilly focusing on large-scale data analysis and visualization for knowledge mining and prediction. In specific, she will be studying Riyadh Urban Data.
