Dorothy Hanna Bio
Ms. Dorothy Hanna is the Program Manager for programs directed by Professor Kamal Youcef-Toumi at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); the Ibn Khaldun Fellowship for Saudi Arabian Women (IBK), the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES), and the Mechatronics Research Lab (MRL). Dorothy has an enduring passion for education and building international partnerships. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University in elementary education and world literature. Dorothy began her a career as an elementary school teacher. Since then she has worked in administrative and educational roles in Europe and Asia as well as the United States of America. Dorothy joined the Ibn Khaldun Fellowship team in 2019. She savors the opportunity to collaborate with the IBK fellows and their communities in achieving their research and educational goals and, in the words of MIT’s mission statement, endeavors to “work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the betterment of humankind.”
