Bioinformatics to Gene Editing

IBK Fellow, Dr. Mariam AlEissa, will present an Ibn Khaldun Fellowship Seminar, "Bioinformatics to Gene Editing" based on her work at MIT with Dr. Guoping Feng in the McGovern Institute for Brain Research and Dr. Ben Neale of the Broad Institute.

Dr. AlEissa is the Senior Specialist at the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Her seminar will discuss her learning and experiences here at MIT, including using bioinformatics methods to identify genetic variations of complex diseases and using genome-editing technologies to develop animal models for functional studies.
