Dr. Areej Alhhazmi published in Nature Microbiology

During her IBK fellowship Dr. Areej Alhhazmi was part of a research team in Prof Graham Walker's lab researching legume plant peptides. The results of the study show that the peptides could have beneficial uses in treating a variety of human diseases caused by bacteria as well as potential treatment for diseases such as sickle cell anemia. This work was recently published in Nature Microbiology.
