Dr. Sumayah Al-Solaiman, First Woman in Saudi Arabia to be Appointed Dean of a Design College
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Sumayah Al-Solaiman in her promotion to Dean of the College of Design at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University. Dr. Al-Solaiman received her PhD from Newcastle University in 2010 and when she joined the faculty Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (formerly Dammam University). She has served six years as their Vice Dean for Quality and Devlopment. Dr. Al-Solaiman was an MIT-Saudi Aramco Ibn khaldun Fellow in 2013.
According to Gulf News, Dr.Al-Solaiman is the first woman in Saudi Arabia to be appointed dean of a design college.
